Community Outreach

  • Butterfly Garden planted (2008) and maintained at Lifepath Hospice & Palliative Care (Melech House)

  • Monthly 50/50 drawing to benefit Fisher House at Arthur Haley VA Hospital ($1000 donated Spring 2009)

  • “Create a Wreath” Workshop - once created, these wreaths are given away to share the spirit of the season with others in our community. Each year 25-30 wreaths are given to Temple Terrace facilities, i.e. Lifepath Hospice & Palliative Care (Melech House), Terrace Palms Nursing Home and Mary Walker Assisted Living Apartments. Wreaths have also been given to the City of Temple Terrace to decorate City Hall, Police and Fire Stations.

  • Wekiva Youth Camp Scholarships - TTGC sponsored Maryn Gilbert and Miranda Burke with a Camp Wekiva Scholarship which paid for 1/2 of their registration fee for the one-week camp experience.

  • Blue Star Memorial Marker - TTGC raised funding for a Blue Star Marker by selling engraved bricks to create a “Tribute Patio,” each bearing the name of a service man or woman who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. Military. Initially 200 engraved bricks made up the patio which was dedicated on Memorial Day 2004. Twenty-five more bricks were dedicated in 2005 and the final 40 bricks we dedicated on Memorial Day 2006. The Blue Star - by way - Marker is located in Woodmont Park.    (Click on photo to enlarge)
